This particular barn was cut and raised as part of a week-long timber frame workshop.
We have been teaching men and women the art of timber framing since 1984.
We affectionately named the barn Braceland because it is where we create the knee
braces used in our frames. However, if you look closely, you can see the King overlooking
the shop from his picture on the wall!
Incidentally, we still conduct timber frame workshops with the
Timber Framers Guild of North America. Check the Guild web site for additional
details and for all the new schedules. You can also check back with the
Events page on our web site for the next Guild workshop in our area.
